Help us continue to support the education of Karen kids.
Since 2016, Sharing Hope has supported the teachers and dormitory students at this school. Since the coup in 2021, they’ve been on alert for military activity. When they see jet planes above, they have to quickly hide for safety.
In mid-January 2023, two villages nearby were bombed, destroying two churches, two schools and many houses. Some villagers died and many were injured. Rice stores were also burned. Fearing for their safety, everyone in the village fled into the jungle.
In the jungle, students from the school are still receiving lessons. Senior students are currently studying for exams which will enable their education to be accredited. We are in awe at the determination of the teachers and students in such hardship.
From the project coordinator:
“Sharing Hope, we would like to thank you for your love and empathy for our school and the supports you give to us, teachers. We could not give anything in return but we always remember you in our prayers. Words cannot express how thankful we are for your continuing support”
