Sharing Hope’s partnership with TMK began

Currently, students face challenges in seeking medical treatment due to financial constraints and lack of identification. Basic first aid is best delivered on-site for the students and community, and will ensure their well-being and prevent the spread of infections and diseases.

By offering a dedicated space at TMK, with an employed member of staff receiving training for the role, the First Aid and Health Hub will cater to the growing demand for medical assistance and basic health knowledge.

This is essential considering the ongoing civil war and the time students are spending away from their families and family support systems. These critical needs were identified and the project was developed by TMK staff, together with Evangelia Wichmann, an Aussie who spent two months embedded in the community undertaking a volunteer teacher role.
